ABOUT
A GREAT inn in the mountains
Jason Zube remembers his time as an undergraduate at Plymouth State clearly. His interests then were the very same as they are today: wrestling, tattooing, and being the life of the party. In 2017, he approached Mathew Spofford with an idea. The two knew each other since freshman year of their college days, where they would spend time in North Conway on weekends and vacations. Jason told Matt his idea to buy property up in the White Mountains, renovate it to perfection, and asked if Matt wanted to be the innkeeper. Matt said yes, and Zube promptly began looking at properties all over their favorite town. In a stoke of luck, The Wyatt Country House Inn was up for sale in the perfect location. Overlooking the Saco River and White Mountains, Zube began envisioning the future of The Samuel O'Reilly House. He named it after the inventor of the tattoo machine gun as tribute to Zube's revered career as a tattoo artist and owner of the Boston Tattoo Company.

The Samuel O'Reilly House provides a creative outlet for Zube to channel his passion for guest experiences and hosting. It is because of his passion, that makes his beautiful inn to run like a well-oiled machine.
